291/365 Fall colors under the stars and moonlight
Peak color in the Smoky Mountains this weekend. I wasn't sure about how much color there would be as I arrived in town after dark. A short session of night photography made me say WOW. Going to be beautiful tomorrow in the sunshine, don't you think! As exposed, this photo looked like daytime, except for the stars in the blue ski. Ordinarily I would take it down a bit more, but I love seeing the color pop in this unsual scene.
This is the Maggie Valley, as shot from the road to the Cataloochee ski area. Quiet and dark up there... and there are tons of horses out tonight. Kind of spooky in the dark. Neeeeiegh!
