Day 94
Since I put up the new feeder station, the squirrels have been going without. So a couple days ago I started putting out some food when I get home from work. Didn't take them too long to figure out the new routine. The birds even manage to get some at times.
Setup the camera with the wireless remote to see what I could capture on this rainy afternoon. Look what I found... a wet little gray. Bon Appetit my friend.

Photo info:  Camera wrapped in a OP/TECK USA Rainsleeve with the 70-200.  Triggered with the Phottix Strato II Multi 5-in-1 Trigger from the warm and dry comfort of my house.

Lessons learned:  I need to leave a bit more room around the feed platform.  The critters like to be on the edge, and most of my shots were missing part of the critter.  Next time, I'll back off a bit.

Thanks Mike.
If you click the link in the post, you can see how these rainsleeves work. Really only works for a lens with a nice deep hood, like the 70-200. The sleeve sinches around the hood, leaving the lens front open and protected by the hood. Just can't shoot at an upward angle. Works pretty well. And at $6 for two of them you can't beat the price. I ended up with a couple of drops on the lens filter... but I think that happened when I was bringing the camera in and drying it off.

Nice job! I have some black squirrels in my neighborhood and I need to do something with a remote as they don't like me getting too close. What is the plastic wrap you put around the camera that allowed this clear shot? How did you get passed the drops that must have gathered on the plastic cover?
