Still playing in the water!
This time, I put a glass lasagna pan on a glass storm window and put my 580EXII light below it, flashing up through the glass and water. I then had my MR-14EX flash at camera right lighting the splash.
I find the light that seems to be streaming out of the water wonderful. When shooting I thought it was too much, but in looking at the photos on the computer - they are my favorites.
In the bacground is the same brightly colored beach towel as in yesterday's shots, but in this use it is all just reflected colors.
Next up - dropping milk and/or liquid with color added. Maybe not tomorrow... but soon!
Photo info: ISO 800, 100mm, f8.0, 1/200s
Lessons learned: Upped the ISO and removed the polarizer from yesterday shoot. Seemed to fire the flash a bit faster. Certainly quicker flash refresh since it was putting out less light. Should have used my lens hood! Wet by the end. Drops falling 4 feet splash more than drops falling 9 inches!
