November 1st, 2021:
First morning light, on the first day of November 2021.
November has always felt like an ending to me—the quiet close of the year, the end of the growing season, the fading of long light. Marking the first of November as a starting point is unfamiliar territory. Yet this year, it isn’t an ending at all, but a deliberate beginning: an invitation to look closer and truly find November.
